Zidane's World Cup

These two things are all over the internet & blogs, but rightfully so..

First is the video of Zidane head butting the Italian player in the World Cup final.

And second, is an entertaining flash game where YOU get to play Zidane! Head butt away!

Today we registered a domain for our wedding: http://www.dustyandmarlina.com

There's not much there now, but in the coming days we'll be putting up all kinds of goodies. Information, stories, news & photos. There'll be a blog where we can keep people updated on things, as well as leave comments.

Why I Like Flying

Having spent a considerable amount of time on planes and in airports over the past two weeks, I found this post over at SimpleBits especially amusing...

  1. The roominess of it all.

  2. The food.

  3. The idle time while standing upright.

  4. Duty-free shopping (clue me in here, does anyone actually take advantage of this?)

  5. Pre-completed Sudoku puzzles.

  6. The elbow room

  7. Month-old episodes of 60 Minutes.

  8. The comforting feeling of being in complete control.

  9. Free airport wi-fi.

  10. Adjustable air nozzles.

  11. Watching someone attempt to close the overhead bin at least 15 times before giving up and letting the attendant deal with it.

  12. Ear-popping fun.

  13. Cab rides.

  14. Quality reflection time.

  15. Fumes.

I would of course add to it...

  1. Screaming kids.

  2. Paying 4 times what the guy sitting next to me did for the ticket

I'm sure there's hundreds more.. this one's too easy..

The Smart Car Is Coming To The U.S!

Having just been in Europe, there were SMART cars EVERYWHERE! It was great. I truly love these little things, and I took tons of pictures of them. They're hillarious, parked in the tiniest parking spaces available.

Well, I knew they were coming to the states, but I had no idea when... until now!

It's Official... The Smart Car is Coming to the U.S.
In a press release issued today, the company has announced that
beginning in 2008, the successor to the smart fortwo, i.e. the new
smart fortwo, will be made available in the U.S. in three models.
That's awesome!

Engaged!

For those of you who I haven't told, and who haven't heard through the grapevine...

Marlina & I are ENGAGED!

It happened in Paris... we had a picnic by the Eiffel Tower one night... yada yada yada.. now we're engaged!

Here's an excerpt from Marlina's site (http://lessthanaminute.blogspot.com)

After rushing to get food before all of the small shops closed for the evening we walked to the Eiffel Tower. We found a great place on the lawn looking up at the Eiffel Tower. We had a nice dinner along with some French wine. Eventually the sun went down and the lights of the Eiffel Tower turned on. It was a perfect night. Ending the wonderful evening, Dusty asked me to marry him and I said YES! It was an amazing ending to a perfect day.

Super Mario Bros. - LIVE!

A while back, I stumbled upon this video of some guys performing the first level of Super Mario Brothers (for the Nintendo) live at some talent show. Really quite awesome. I'm posting it here to share it, and because I'm tired of searching for the link...

More pictures!

Today, in typicall Sunday fashion, I spent some time uploading pictures to my website. I'm constantly behind in getting the pictures posted, so I've tried to make a strong push to get caught up. I'm finally posting pictures from 2006, and today I got all the pictures from my birthday and St. Patty's Day up. Enjoy!

Google Pages Page

Quite some time ago, when Google Pages was released, I created myself a dummy page to test it out. It's not like I'm going to create my entire site there, but it sure does have a slick user interface, which is actually quite fun to toy around with. Tonight I found myself tinkering with it some more, and I made some updates to my page. Check it out!

Too bad these guys don't make that system available for instance to install on your own server. As far as content management systems go, it doesn't get a whole lot slicker than that... oh well.
