Having spent a considerable amount of time on planes and in airports over the past two weeks, I found this post over at SimpleBits especially amusing...

The roominess of it all.

~~The food.~~

The idle time while standing upright.

Duty-free shopping (clue me in here, does anyone actually take advantage of this?)

Pre-completed Sudoku puzzles.

~~The elbow room~~

Month-old episodes of 60 Minutes.

~~The comforting feeling of being in complete control.~~

~~Free~~ airport wi-fi.

Adjustable air nozzles.

~~Watching someone attempt to close the overhead bin at least 15 times before giving up and letting the attendant deal with it.~~

The Smart Car Is Coming To The U.S!

Having just been in Europe, there were SMART cars EVERYWHERE! It was great. I truly love these little things, and I took tons of pictures of them. They're hillarious, parked in the tiniest parking spaces available.

Well, I knew they were coming to the states, but I had no idea when... until now!

It's Official... The Smart Car is Coming to the U.S.

In a press release issued today, the company has announced that
beginning in 2008, the successor to the smart fortwo, i.e. the new
smart fortwo, will be made available in the U.S. in three models.

That's awesome!

For those of you who I haven't told, and who haven't heard through the grapevine...

Marlina & I are ENGAGED!

It happened in Paris... we had a picnic by the Eiffel Tower one night... yada yada yada.. now we're engaged!

After rushing to get food before all of the small shops closed for the evening we walked to the Eiffel Tower. We found a great place on the lawn looking up at the Eiffel Tower. We had a nice dinner along with some French wine. Eventually the sun went down and the lights of the Eiffel Tower turned on. It was a perfect night. Ending the wonderful evening, Dusty asked me to marry him and I said YES! It was an amazing ending to a perfect day.

Google Pages Page

Quite some time ago, when Google Pages was released, I created myself a dummy page to test it out. It's not like I'm going to create my entire site there, but it sure does have a slick user interface, which is actually quite fun to toy around with. Tonight I found myself tinkering with it some more, and I made some updates to my page. Check it out!

World Cup Tickets!

Well, it's official! We have in our posession 2 genuine tickets to the World Cup in Germany! We were *finally* able to get a hold of some tickets a few weeks back, and they just arrived today. The game we're going to see is ... wait for it... Saudi Arabia vs. Ukraine. Not exactly the match I would have chosen out of a lineup, but after jumping through all the hoops to get this freaking tickets, I'll take what we can get.

Here's the tentative itinerary for our trip, though the only currently set in stone is us being in Hamburg on the 19th for the game. (Oh, and I suppose we don't have much choice at this point about where we're flying into and out of, seeing how we spent $1200+ on the tickets!!!) Other than that, things are still kind of up in the air...

June 12th - Arrive in Copenhagen, Denmark

June 19th - Saudia Arabia vs Ukraine in Hamburg, Germany

June 25th - Depart from Paris, France.

Ahhhh! It's so close I can't hardly believe. Here in a couple of weeks it will be the 3 year aniversary of me leaving for Europe... oh my my, where does the time go.
